5 Days Uganda Safari Itinerary
Day 1- Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport and drive you to Bwindi National Park which is about 502 km southwest of Kampala city. Enjoy en route lunch in Mbarara before proceeding to the Bwindi arriving in the evening. Check-in your lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2- Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early morning breakfast, prepare for a transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before you start the trekking adventure through the dense forest. As you observe the gorillas in their natural habitat, you will be struck by their sheer size and human-like behaviors. It is truly a humbling experience to witness these endangered animals up close. After an hour with the gorillas, enjoy your lunch in the wild before heading back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3- Transfer from Bwindi to Kibale forest
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and prepare for transfer to Kibale forest- home of the largest population of chimpanzees in East Africa hence the name- Primate Capital Of East Africa. The road trip will last about 7 and half hours passing via Kabale-Mbarar road. Arrive at the park in the afternoon, check in for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4- Chimpanzee trekking
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale is an exhilarating experience that provides a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. The lush forest of Kibale National Park offers a picturesque setting for this adventure, with knowledgeable guides leading you through the dense vegetation in search of these chimpanzees. Not only will you encounter chimpanzees but also various other primates including Black & white colobus monkeys, baboons, mangabey, and red-colobus among other plus several bird species along the trek. Transfer back to lodge or camp for dinner nd overnight stay.
Day 5- Transfer back to Kampala city or Entebbe airport
After an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge or campsite and prepare for transfer back to Kampala city or Airport.
