Top Car Rental Requirements – You a required to be between the ages of 23 and 65 to rent a car in Uganda with Kampala car rental the reservations desk will require scanned and original copies of your driver’s license ( International Driver’s License ) plus passport and national ID. The hirer should also have at least 2 years of driving experience.
Car Rates – All our car hire rates cover government taxes, comprehensive insurance, 24-hour on-road assistance and unlimited mileage hence you drive anywhere within the borders of Uganda. The rates exclude fuel, one-way rental, additional drivers, personal insurance, traffic fines, parking fees, entrance fees, child seats among others.
Minimum rental period – We offer our rental cars based on 24 hours period and any rental below that will still incur the daily rate.
Extra driver’s policy – All our rental cars can only be driven by a maximum of 2 drivers excluding the main one. You should notify the reservations desk if you plan on taking turns driving and the additional driver should also adhere to the rental requirements including age, driver’s license and experience. In case there is any collisions or damage to car caused by an unauthorized extra driver, the car insurance will be canceled and you will have to pay.
Car delivery – Kampala car rental offers free car delivery to Entebbe airport, hotel or residence within Kampala but if your require the car outside Kampala city, then an extra charge will be incurred depending on the type of car and distance to destination drop off.
Car return policy – A rental car has to be returned to the office or airport on the date specified and signed on in the self drive agreement and incase it’s returned late ; that is a day after, then a daily extra charge will apply. No refunds are given to return of the rental early.
Rental car condition & fuel – The car has o be returned in the same condition it was taken on day 1 and any damages caused my lead tro extra fees depending on the severity. We will ofer you the car with half fuel tank and also expect you to bring back the same amount, any extra fuel will not be refunded.
Car rental cancellation policy – A customer will be refunded depending on the cancellation period , however, no refunds willn be given to cancellations submitted late (less than a day to rental) , rentals that end early and also customer no show at the airport or office. Below are the cancellation by percentage –
=> 7 days of more – 30% , 6- 4 days 50% , 2 – 0- 75%
